Sarah's Story - Healing

Over the past five years, I’ve faced struggles that my younger, fun-loving, outgoing self would’ve never have dreamed of facing. I had no idea such emotional suffering existed out there in the world. There were times when I felt so unworthy of living that my only solution was to try to end my life. It was a scary place to be in.

But once I decided to accept that I needed help, many amazing people supported me throughout my journey. Over time, with the help of professionals and music (credit goes to the song “I’m on top of the world” by Imagine Dragons,) I worked hard to surmount my anxieties, and I’m proud to say that I’m the best version of myself yet.

The journey to mental health doesn’t need to be one filled with quiet shame. The way I see it now, it’s simply a journey to bettering oneself. It’s only human!
